 The Linhay Cottage

Hidden and unspoilt, Whitnage, near Tiverton in Devon, is a quiet rural hamlet with panoramic views of the Culm Valley and the Blackdown Hills. Less than a mile from Sampford Peverell, along a short section of traditional narrow high-banked lane, Brambles Holiday Cottage at Whitnage is only 4 miles from Tiverton and has easy access to the M5 at junction 27 for Taunton, Wellington, Exeter, Cullompton, Honiton and the A361 for Tiverton, South Molton, Barnstaple and North Devon.

The Linhay accommodation has one double bedroom. There is also a fully sprung sofa bed in the lounge so the Linhay will sleep up to three adults or with the addition of  fold away beds or travel cots it also provides flexible accommodation for families. A 2nd en-suite guest room is available if two couples are happy to share the open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge ( Please note that the 2nd bedroom has a separate and private entrance with no internal access to the Linhay).

The bathroom has a bath & shower, the dining table comfortably seats 4 adults and the kitchen area is a good size and well equipped.  There is a television and DVD player in the bedroom and the lounge also has a television, DVD / Video and a CD / Tape player. Oil fired central heating and hot water are available at all times and as is the case with the electricity included in the price.

Hidden and unspoilt, Whitnage, near Tiverton in Devon, is a quiet rural hamlet approached along traditional narrow high-banked lanes. However with main road, rail, coach and bus links from the rest of the UK only minutes away it is also a gateway into the West Country and an excellent touring base for those wishing to explore Devon and in particular the beautiful Exe River Valley, the stunning Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks and the North Devon and South Devon coastlines.

The Linhay was originally a farm building renovated by us last year and the early part of this year to provide a comfortable single story cottage. As well as the garden and scenery there are also many activities for you to enjoy near by and the Tiverton area in general offers a wide choice of things to see and do, including horse riding, golf and fishing. For walkers and cyclists there are a series of footpaths and cycle routes in the area.

We are centrally located for trips to Exmoor, Dartmoor, the North and South Devon Coastlines as well as trips further away into Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset and with central heating throughout the cottage the Linhay is ideal for a holiday or short break at any time of year.
