There’s plenty to see from looming gargoyles, imaginative carvings including the ‘seven deadly sins’ and the medieval great hall complete with minstrel’s gallery. Take a look around our exhibition dedicated to the extraordinary career of Joyce Wethered, the last family member to live at Knightshayes and the “greatest lady golfer of all time”. Explore the Walled Garden, now restored to its former glory and used to grow organic produce for the stables restaurant and nearby town market. Children can enjoy spending time in the ball pool and large indoor sand pit or playing with the wooden railways and the toddler trucks.

St Peter's Church

Saint Peter's has been a venue of worship and spiritual exploration for almost a thousand years. The services reflect the needs of the community and an attempt to understand that which is "other". Some people find it easier to come in and sit quietly- we try to keep the church open during daylight hours - others enjoy being with others sharing music, praise, prayer and communion. Whatever suits you, you may find something suitable on the "services and events" page.
