The accommodation is set in the most beautiful location. It is off the beaten track and that is what makes it special. The room was spotless and had so many extras that are not usually supplied. Bed so comfortable. Hosts were wonderful, welcoming and anticipated need. Breakfast (menu) has a vast array of produce, and the cooked breakfast was a treat. Will be back for sure.

We were accommodated in the annexe adjacent to a lovely garden. Alison was welcoming and friendly and showed us to our room and explained the facilities. She realised it was not our first visit to Brambles but we were surprised how long ago it was. Our king size bed was comfortable, and the shower worked really well. There were a good selection of teabags / coffee / biscuits and a kettle. Checking in and out was trouble free and next time we will remember to book directly. The location at Whitnage is elevated on a hill above Sampford Peverell, near Tiverton, with distant views especially towards The Blackdow Hills and South Devon. The b&b can be approached from several directions, but the roads are narrow in places. We can highly recommend the Italian restaurant Ponte Vecchio (Tiverton), but it is popular and would advise booking ahead for a table. The place was packed on a Wednesday evening, much to our surprise. Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton) is a wonderful National Trust property nearby. The Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal) is also nearby with horse drawn barge trips in summer. There are numerous other attractions in the area too many to mention.
Good, clean accommodation. Breakfast (menu) is excellent with plenty of choices. Tea / coffee facilities are good with jugs of fresh milk provided. The gardens are beautiful and nothing was too much trouble for the hostess. We had dinner at the nearby Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) and the food that we ordered was excellent. The steak and kidney pie is recommended and the chicken with herb potatoes, peppercorn and lemon cream sauce is for me personally, the best chicken dish I have had anywhere, chicken and vegetables melted in the mouth.
A warm welcome, you could not have been more accommodating, the garden was beautiful, everything was spotless, the breakfast (menu) was delicious. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) just down the road provides good wholesome food at a reasonable price.

Lovely place, very welcoming host and great breakfast (menu) to start your day. Will definitely stay again if visiting the area (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington). Lots of places to visit and things to do in the area. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) down the lane for food is excellent. Tiverton nearby with shops and restaurants / cafe's.
A lovely couple of hosts, who made you feel welcome and at home. Our accommodation within the house was excellent. Breakfast (menu) choice was very good. Our choice to stay here was its proximity to the Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal) where we had a horse drawn barge trip arranged and a visit to the local National Trust property of Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton). The hosts recommended the local Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) for our evening meal and we were not disappointed.
Made to feel most welcome and at home. Amazing breakfast (menu) and everything you need in the rooms. Good parking area too. Local pub in the village deserves support.
Everything we needed and more! Beautiful garden, comfortable accommodation, and lovely touches like flannels, snacks, and umbrellas.
Friendly and welcoming. Serene and idyllic setting. Everything I needed with a lot of what I wanted. Would definitely look to stay again when in the area (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington). There's a lovely scenic walk from the cottage which takes you in a circle for a couple of miles.
Enjoyed our stay, very friendly hosts. All amenities excellent. Lovely local pub within walking distance. We had excellent meals there.
David and Alison are a very nice welcoming couple. They are attentive to your requests. Their variety of choice at breakfast (menu) is very good, be it hot or cold. The cooked breakfast is always of an excellent standard. The rooms are always tidy and cosy. The gardens are to die for being so well maintained and very pleasing to the eye. Personally, we cannot fault our stay. If you are up to it there is a very nice walk just over half a mile down to the pub, where they serve good pub grub. Being in the countryside there are plenty of walks and views to enjoy.
Alison was more than accommodating & friendly & gave us good advice on nearby must see. The meal at the local pub was outstanding. We visited Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton) & thoroughly enjoyed it upon her recommendation. Thanks for the lovely stay. Breakfast (menu) superb too.

Great place to stay, hosts are brilliant. The host has many suggestions for places to visit and things to do in Devon and West Somerset, and the surrounding area (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington).

We enjoyed our stay very much. Directions to the property were extremely helpful. We received a warm welcome from Alison, and she offered directions to our onward destination. The accommodation was well appointed plus anything you may have forgotten was provided in the bathroom. Breakfast (menu) was delicious with a varied choice of fruit, cooked items, jams, bread and pastries. The views from the bedroom were stunning all enhanced by a magnificent garden.
A very comfortable stay on 9th and later on 16th June. The accommodation was very clean and had all we needed to start and end our trip to Cornwall. The breakfast (menu) was comprehensive and very well prepared. Thank you for a generous welcome. Very clear directions were provided to get us from the M5 motorway (Junction 27) to Brambles. We ate at the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) and enjoyed the food.
Absolutely brilliant! We will be back. Local pub is a 15-17 minutes’ walk. Didn't eat there but received a very friendly welcome.
Brambles is very welcoming with no prickly moments, and much thought put into the customer experience, which was excellent. I was impressed with everything provided and by the service levels. It was nice to be called by my first name throughout. Wish I could have stayed longer. Many thanks Alison and Dave. There's lots of things to do.
Comfortable well equipped rooms in a lovely location. We stayed here to attend a wedding at nearby Huntsham Court (Huntsham, Tiverton).
