A warm welcome awaited us from Alison on arrival. Brambles is a beautiful country b&b near Tiverton in Devon, with outstanding views of the countryside. Our accommodation in the house itself was spacious with many added extras such as snacks, sweets and biscuits. A wonderful cooked breakfast (menu) with pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc will set you up for the day! You feel very much at home and immediately relaxed in this special little haven of tranquillity. Would recommend the restaurant Spelt in Bampton (Devon) a short distance away. Lovely food and service. Booking advisable as it's very popular.
Perfect b&b near Tiverton in Devon! Excellent facilities and Alison went out of her way to accommodate for my wife’s vegan diet (menu). Lovely welcoming feel to the cottage. I’d highly recommend staying at this bed and breakfast near Tiverton to anybody travelling in this part of Devon or West Somerset.
We had a most enjoyable stay in every respect and could not ask for anything more.
The welcome, the breakfast (menu), the service all excellent. Room was a little small, but we were aware of that before we arrived and that’s not a complaint, just an observation. Very clean, everything you need in a b&b room and serviced daily, which was an added benefit. Very friendly couple who helped to make our stay very pleasant. Great advice on local restaurants and things to do. Definitely 5 stars! The Lost Kitchen (Chettiscombe, Tiverton) restaurant. Frou Frou (Tiverton) French restaurant. The Tiverton Community Arts Theatre, walking along the Grand Western Canal Country Park (Tiverton Canal), the Tiverton Museum and the countryside in general.
Lovely b&b run by a wonderful couple Alison and Dave. We have stayed 4 or 5 times now. High quality breakfast (menu) and a lovely choice. They go the extra mile! Local pubs, the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) , Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton) and the Hickory Inn (Halberton, Tiverton) in easy distance, with supermarkets in Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington in easy range. M5 motorway (Junction 27 ) and Tiverton Parkway railway station on your doorstep.
Friendly, excellent breakfasts (menu), beautiful location (well it was with the sun shining!) Excellent communication and very good at answering the phone. Plenty of 'extras' - snacks, biscuits, shampoo, conditioners that other places do not provide as inclusive. AND.... Flannels!!! Close to M5 motorway (Junction 27) so excellent venue if travelling from the North to the Southwest to break long (often 6 hour) journey.
Dear Alison and David, We thought it was wonderful, we will be back at some point in the not so far future and for a longer time without doubt.
Excellent facilities at one of our favourite locations! Wonderful breakfast (menu) with a great variety of foodstuffs! The accommodation is extremely comfortable and each room has great facilities too! Parking is good, next to the annexe rooms. Restaurants in Tiverton, although local ale houses offer food too! Typical narrow country roads leading both ways to Brambles - their recommended route is the best way to the accommodation. Good access to M5 motorway (Junction 27).
Everything was excellent, clean and very well organized accommodation. And the hosts were very friendly. It was a perfect stay.
David and Alison are very friendly and helpful. We have used the Brambles as an overnight stop on our way to Cornwall for about 10 years and we have never had a bad stay. We use the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) which is about a mile down the road. They have a specials board and a usual menu. My wife, recommends the red cabbage.
A proper b&b in a lovely spot. Very comfortable accommodation which was really well equipped with plenty of treats! Really great breakfast (menu) as well with amazing views down the garden. Will certainly stay again. Ponte Vecchio (Tiverton) Italian restaurant is a must - book in advance though as we went on a Monday night and the place was packed! Deservedly so as it is really excellent.

Very comfortable accommodation. Breakfast (menu) was fantastic & host very friendly. Definitely recommend. We had dinner at the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) which was nice.

Great to meet hosts Alison and David again as it was our third visit to Brambles. We particularly liked staying in the bright and cheerful Garden Room with its dual aspect. What a friendly couple the hosts are, they really gave a personal touch to our stay. Smashing breakfast (menu) with a good selection. Overall the accommodation is good value for money and we will stay again. Easy walk into Uplowman for pub with food. Roads are narrow around Whitnage and best to take the advised routes suggested by Brambles and ignore the sat nav short cut.
Had a very relaxing 2 days whilst visiting friends in the area (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington). Was a last minute booking but I am so glad I found Brambles Bed and Breakfast. Tucked away, lovely views and a warm welcome. Thank you.
Very friendly and helpful host. Everything was so very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The accommodation was exceptionally well stocked. Excellent bathroom facilities.
Alison is the perfect hostess, nothing is too much trouble.
David and Alison are lovely hosts and very welcoming. We could drop our bags off, before checking in, which was a great help, as we had a motorbike. A lovely and quiet location, with great views. Beautiful garden. Excellent breakfast (menu), with plenty to choose from. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) is a 15 minute walk, or a 4 minute drive, great menu and tasty food. The Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton) is a 30 minute walk or a 7 minute drive. Also, great food and menu. The country road is narrow in places, so need to be careful, driving or on foot. Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton), a National Trust property, located 8 miles away is a lovely place to visit. Tiverton town centre, Cullompton and Wellington) not too far.
We received a very warm welcome and the owners were very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and decorated to a very high standard with wonderful attention to detail. Gorgeous little extras such as wine glasses, nibbles, biscuits, sweets and a very wide choice of hot drinks. Shower was hot and powerful and luxuriously kitted out. Comfortable bed and overall cottagey feel as you looked out onto a beautifully maintained garden. A wide choice of food for breakfast (menu) both full English and Continental. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. If you follow the directions to find Brambles, you won’t go wrong. Roads are narrow in places, so beep your horn as you turn corners, but plenty of passing places. Alison recommended the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) down the road which we visited. Lovely food and a quiet country lane walk to get to it- 15 / 20 min's.
