- A very warm welcome from friendly hosts. Exceptionally well appointed accommodation in peaceful rural location. Great full English breakfast (menu). All exceptional value. What more could you wish for? The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) in the nearby village is very much worth a visit. Very nice food with a welcoming atmosphere.
- This is an ideal location for a stopover from long distance motorway travel, being just off the M5 / A361 / A38. It is quiet, tucked away up a lane and away from proximity to main roads. The rooms were warm, comfortable and well appointed. Alison and David were attentive and welcoming hosts. The best bet for eating in Sampford Peverel is the Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton).
- Met up with cousin from New Zealand - Alison and David made us very welcome - breakfast (menu) was excellent along with all the added extras in our accommodation. Much thought had gone in to everything. Thank you both. Good local pub the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) great food lovely log fire - perfect in December!
- Everything excellent. We liked the little fruit bowls idea.
- Brilliant reception! You went out of your way to light our way from the car park as we arrived in poor weather. Thank you! Great room; comfy bed; great breakfast (menu) selection. I would certainly recommend Brambles to anyone wanting to stop /stay over in the Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington area. Excellent value for money.
- One word needed fantastic all round nothing at all to complain about. Already recommended to 2 friends it’s very homely especially when you go to breakfast (menu) you watch Alison and Dave cooking your breakfast it feels like your part of the family. Now, the breakfast, it’s wonderful tasty freshly cooked no grease amazing thank you both, you can have whatever you want, and they will accommodate everything to your taste, no cheap products on your breakfast plate. We went to the Brambles to visit family who live in Devon, we have tried lots of hotels and bed and breakfasts over the years. Trust me this place is the jewel in the crown of Devon it’s homely quaint, and very comfortable try it without a doubt you will love it it’s very peaceful, just enough all round you can use this place as a base and travel to lots of places Dave and Alison you made us so welcome, keep doing what you are doing because it works so well. Thank you for taking us into your family and making our stay FABULOUS. Trust me, we will be back maybe after Xmas.
- What an absolutely delightful b&b. A bit off the beaten track but worth it when you get there. They even had the kettle on when we arrived! Terrific choice for breakfast (menu). Although freezing weather outside, the accommodation in the annexe was as warm as toast. Easy parking. Owners extremely pleasant and welcoming. Local pub, the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton), is about 3/4 of a mile down the lane serves a great selection of food from 6.15pm. For your evening meal. Nearest town is Tiverton about 4 miles away, Cullompton and Wellington only slightly further. Tesco supermarket open 24 hours.
- Very friendly helpful. Pub / restaurant just down road, good food.
- Great stop for the night with wonderful views, comfy bed and a lovely freshly cooked breakfast (menu) and friendly welcome. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you.
- We would highly recommend the Brambles to anyone visiting this part of the UK. Dave and Alison were wonderful hosts, friendly, helpful and great to talk with. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and they had thought of everything to make our stay pleasant. We spent three days there and would certainly go back again anytime we are in this part of the country. We had a really good dinner two evenings at a nearby pub called the Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton). Each day we set out to explore Devon and Cornwall and many beautiful little towns and villages, including Port Isaac where Doc Martin was filmed. This is truly such a lovely part of the country to visit. Don’t be too afraid of the narrow roads: everyone is a polite driver, and it is seldom that there is not a place to “pull over” to get by.
- There is truly nothing I can think of which would have made our visit better. The hosts were friendly, the accommodation spotless and comfortable, breakfast (menu) lovely, with a good choice of fruit, yoghurt and cereals as well as full English. Everything was provided to make our stay perfect - all the little touches which mean a lot but are not always thought of or provided - a torch, an umbrella, wine glasses, snacks refilled daily. If we revisit the area, we will definitely return to his lovely little oasis. Although Brambles seems remote when you first arrive you soon realise it’s only ten minutes from the town and close to main roads. We ate at Frou Frou (Tiverton) - lovely food and reasonably priced wine, extensive gin menu! - and the Great British Takeaway (Tiverton), a really good fish and chip shop / restaurant offering grilled as well as fried fish. Both well worth a visit. The location is mid-way between the north and south Devon coasts so very well placed for exploring the whole of Devon and West Somerset.
- This place offers a first class service. I highly recommend it to anybody thinking of staying here.
- Helpful and informative hosts with your best interests in mind. Central location for exploring Devon.
- Extremely friendly and welcoming hosts. The position for us was important as we were attending a wedding party at Uplowman Village Hall which was a 15 minute walk away. Large en-suite bedroom with very comfortable bed.
- Lovely friendly and helpful hosts who gone the extra mile to ensure a great stay. Everything was delightful and the breakfast (menu) especially good. We were in the area on a genealogy expedition, and this was the perfect base.
- Alison and David have created a wonderful b&b both making us fell welcome and comfortable. A great place to stay offering easy excess to Dartmoor and Exmoor, Exeter and Taunton, and the South Devon coast just to name a few. Exeter offers a wide variety of places to eat, the Double Locks Inn (Exeter) by the canal being one for real ale lovers.
- We thoroughly enjoyed our all too short stay with you. Our accommodation was very comfortable, our hosts friendly and breakfast (menu) were delicious!! Full marks.
- Lovely stay thanks you.
- Fantastic find! One of the most complete overnight stays you could ever wish for, shame we couldn’t stay longer. We will definitely use you again.
- Very welcoming atmosphere and lovely environment. A really nice place to stay after our very long journey. Breakfast (menu) was really tasty with a good choice. Brambles was easy to find. We stayed only for a short time in the area but good food and service at the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) just down the road and also the Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton). The Brambles owners were most helpful and friendly. Nice clean place to stay.
- Very friendly. Local pub was excellent.
- On arrival we were very welcomed and the facilities in our room was amazing the views were fantastic so was breakfast (menu) what more can I say great place to stay. Thanks guys. My top tip would be DO NOT stop anywhere else but here.
