Nights are quiet here - and we've spotted bats. The garden overlooks the valley and you're backing on to countryside with no loud parties or catering venues that will disturb. Brambles is the ideal location from which to visit this area - and, as above, further south and west. I've labelled this accommodation 'Budget' because there is a cheaper weekly rate and, compared to other places, it seems to us to be well below the going rate. Overnight stay. What a lovely surprise. We were greeted with a warm welcome & our room had everything we needed, from wine glasses, nibbles, to shower/ bathing accessories. A very comfortable 4 poster type bed. The breakfast menu was very comprehensive. We will definitely return! Great B&B a few miles outside of Tiverton. I stayed here as part of my cycle tour from Land's End to John O' Groats and received a very warm welcome upon my arrival. I was given The Cottage Room for my night, which is in an annex in the garden of the main house and was perfect for my needs, with a extremely comfortable bed and decent shower. The breakfast was served in the beautiful the dining hall and was well worth the extra few pounds. I'd happily stayed here again. Very friendly, charming, and hospitable.

My parents - not proficient with computers- stayed for a really enjoyable, relaxing few days (12 - 15 June). The room was spacious, quite, and spotless; fresh towels every day; very comfortable bed - my mother says she has not slept in a more comfortable one! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite. They had to have the scrambled egg on toast for breakfast because the Full English would have been too much to manage but, even this was a generous helping of two slices of toast covered in scrambled egg! They had the Evening meal a couple of times - they ate out with family outside of this - and found it so popular that they would recommend pre-booking for the evening! This hotel deserves to be recognised for its outstanding hospitality! Loved it. Arrived at Brambles B&B tucked away down a quiet rural country lane, to a very warm welcome. Our room was in a kind of block on the ground floor which was amazing. Not having to lug heavy suitcases upstairs is a definite bonus. Our room was clean, lovely & cosy with that "old world" feeling but with modern conveniences. Everything had been thought of and added to our room, from biscuits for our tea, glasses for our wine and even down to a torch.

En suite shower room with all toiletries if you should need them. We had a wonderful night’s sleep in our comfortable bed. And in the morning sat in the garden with a cuppa enjoying the beautiful view. We then strolled into the main house for a full English Breakfast which was absolutely delightful, plenty of it and freshly cooked. A wonderful choice of other breakfast items if full English is not your thing. Our hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay. Cosy and relaxing. This hotel is tucked away in a lovely rural location. Our room was attractive, clean and cosy. We relaxed in the garden, watching the sun go down over the beautiful countryside. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Cosy b&b, great breakfast. a very clean and cosy b&b, had one large room and a quite small room (I think they were called Garden room and Cottage room), the latter borderline small... Friendly hosts, shame garden was not looking its best due to fence building works next door (but hopefully sorted now. 2 nights of comfort. All I say is superb, couldn't be the kindest, helpful and flexible people truly recommend staying here lovely breakfast comfortable room.

Fantastic location with lovely view and well kept surroundings. Recommended. Very pleasant, very quiet, very friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast and clean and comfortable room. Shower and towels good. A 15 minute walk to the pub for evening meal and we appreciated the torch provided with the room in case of a return in the dark! Our only 'constructive criticism' would be to provide some curtains or frosting to the lower half of the windows in the room we stayed in as it was bit uncomfortable having other guests walking close by from the car park, with a full view into the room. All round wonderful stay. From a super warm welcome, wonderful rooms, great amenities, comfy beds, clean bathrooms through to lovely breakfast Brambles does not disappoint. David and Alison were the perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble. Location is great as it is quiet and peaceful, short walk to local pub and very convenient for the m5. Would heartily recommend. Fabulous B&B. What a lovely place. As the website says, there are only two very small signs on the outside of the property, so a Google map search on the b&b website may be advisable - that's how I confirmed where to turn off the road to get to the parking area behind the main house.

The approach to Brambles is along narrow lanes whichever way you come in and the place is really quiet. You'd hardly believe it is only a few miles from J27 on the M5. The website gives sensible directions from the M5, use satnav at your peril as the lanes will be even narrower. The room I stayed in was lovely, I couldn't think of anything that would make it better. Breakfast was hearty and delicious and the hosts (David and Alison) welcoming and friendly. Forget the usual chain hotels, this is close enough to the motorway to make it only an extra ten minutes travel and Brambles is a thousand times nicer than the faceless bland experience I have had all too often in the bigger hotels - it was cheaper too. Would I go back? Definitely. Not the first time nor the last. Once again David and Alison have come up to my high expectations. A wonderful quiet and dark location, perfect for star gazing. We only stayed one night but will definitely be returning for a longer stay later in the year. An extremely comfortable room and very tasty and filling breakfast. I would recommend this B & B to anyone wanting a quiet getaway. There are two alternative directions to the place and they are both spot on. Forget the Satnav, it is not needed.
