An oasis in an idyllic setting, peaceful and relaxing in every way. Room has everything you might need and a most comfortable bed. Hostess provided a superbly cooked breakfast (menu), and we will definitely come this way again. Follow directions provided by owners, they will lead you to the door (use business or property name in your sat nav, post code covers a large area). And a friendly local pub less than a mile away for meal or snack.
Very friendly, and knowledgeable of surrounding area (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington). Make time for a walk along the Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal).
Our stay was a fleeting one, amidst the first ‘leg’ of my pandemic pedal (raising some funds for mountain rescue) It was perfect! Bike securely locked, accommodation was very comfortable & breakfast (menu) was delicious! David and Alison are great hosts, & we wouldn’t hesitate to return for a more leisurely stay in the future: many thanks! We ate out at the nearby Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton), a nice place with good atmosphere, but beware: the portion sizes were HUGE! Perfect for me (the cyclist!), but way too much for my supporting wife!
Really friendly welcome, a brilliant place in a lovely setting, rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need. I recommend Brambles and will be back.
Really nice place to stay and friendly atmosphere
Brambles is a beautiful place and was perfect for our overnight stay. It exceeded our expectations and had so many lovely homely touches. Alison was an incredibly welcoming host and recommended a local pub for takeaway food for our evening meal (although we opted for a takeaway pizza from Tiverton town centre!). The grounds were stunning and would be gorgeous to sit outside in the evening / morning if the temperature was a fee degrees warmer!

Alison is the most considerate host and clearly places a lot of thought into the needs of her guests. You will be made to feel very welcome. The accommodation was very comfortable and the whole setting very peaceful. I could have happily stayed much longer than I needed to. The food from the local pub is higher quality than you might be expecting

Great place to stay, very private, beautiful gardens very quiet location this was perfect for what I was looking for on my business trip I have booked my next few weeks stay here now. Local pub the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) great food and fantastic helpful staff, I used the pub every night following covid guide lines.
Excellent accommodation. Nice and peaceful and very relaxing. Local pub is excellent for food takeaway as well. Make sure you follow the directions supplied from the Brambles and not follow sat-nav unless you are comfortable driving on very narrow roads.
Alison was very helpful and accommodating during my stay, the accommodation is spotless and I can highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet stay just outside of Tiverton.
Absolutely beautiful accommodation with added extras in the room Alison and David go that extra mile to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Delicious breakfast (menu) too. There is plenty to do in the Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington area, as well as further afiled, with information supplied in the room. Just be prepared to do the Devon country lanes to get to the Brambles trust me it is worth it. We are very grateful indeed for the helpful welcoming way in which you arranged things: flexibility with timing, warning re traffic issues etc. And the room was cosy clean and warm. Thank you very much. Hope to come by again.
I was met by Alison who was very pleasant and explained everything fully. I only had one night there but would definitely go back if I was working in the Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington area again. Make sure that the map sent by the proprietors is fully understood and adhered to before driving to the b&b (not difficult). I followed it to the letter and encountered no problems, but others have relied on only the post code in a sat-nav and have come unstuck.
Lovely converted barn annexe. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful host. All good. Easy to find if you follow the owner’s directions.
Excellent communication with Alison, very helpful directions for where to override the satnav to avoid particularly narrow country lanes! Absolutely beautiful garden that was great to admire! We only stayed one night in passing but the accommodation had everything we needed, we would definitely stay again!
We thought the Brambles offered good quality accommodation. The hosts Alison and Dave are friendly and helpful hosts. The road to the Brambles is narrow in places so you may feel safer driving to the local pub for a meal on dark evenings. The local pub offers a reasonably large menu for a small village, friendly service and well cooked food.
It was excellent. Just had to be careful when driving around!
Friendly, clean, convenient and totally had everything I wanted for a break which was a restful and comfortable treat.
Garden Room was beautiful looking out on dual aspect to views over fields and garden. Breakfast (menu) was lovely. Whitnage is well placed for exploring Devon and West Somerset.
Very helpful great communication, useful emails with directions and maps With recommendation of local pubs, complete with telephone number. Room had everything you require plus lots of extras that you will have fun finding like sweets large choice of drinks. Breakfast (menu) was excellent.

Alison was extremely welcoming and kind. The rooms were thoughtfully kitted out with everything we needed and the breakfast (menu) was wonderful. The whole place was very clean and covid compliant. I would very much recommend a stay. I suggest you follow the directions that Alison will send you to get there, rather than relying solely on the satnav.
Alison was very friendly and affable and made us feel at home. Comfortable accommodation with good facilities. Also, an excellent breakfast (menu). We would happily visit again. Very quiet area with a good number of local pubs for food, however a suitable spot to choose for visiting other areas of Devon and West Somerset. Fully recommended.
Stayed in the annexe in front of a lovely garden where there are tables and chairs to sit at. Beautiful views from garden while we had a cup of tea after the journey. Comfy bed. Very nice breakfast (menu). Good choice of hot drinks left in accommodation. Made to feel welcome.

David and Alison are wonderful hosts there is nothing they will not do for you. Best bed & breakfast in Tiverton without a doubt We have tried most others, but Brambles are second to none. This is the golden gem of Tiverton. Fabulous pub just down the road beautiful meals and not bad prices
Such a beautiful setting and location, so quiet and peaceful. I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable, really lovely, friendly owner. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back again in the future. Highly recommend.
