- Great b & b. Some visitors might find the location too "Country"! Direction advice very good. Great HOT water! Not always a given @ b&b sites. Great, keep it going, Cheers. Pub grub NOT haute cuisine.
- Such a lovely warm welcome. Whilst Brambles may be a little isolated for urbanites, it’s a hidden gem. Possibly one of the best b&b’s I’ve stayed in, very experienced hosts. Superb and very well equipped accommodation, great breakfast (menu) with plenty of choice. Good on-site parking, adjacent to a beautiful garden. The views to the back across the rolling Devon countryside are magnificent. Lots of wildlife to appreciate too. Thanks Alison. 5*. Local pubs at nearby Uplowman, Sampford Peverell and Halberton who do good pub grub. Tiverton has anything else you might need. 12mins. The owners are very conscious and honest about this, but from either direction you have a short drive (3/4 of a mile) up narrow high hedge lanes.
- Excellent one night stay! Everything required was there in this very comfortable accommodation! Welcoming and friendly hosts and a great breakfast (menu) too. We WILL return.
- Fantastic hosts. Great attention to detail.
- Had everything I wanted for one night stop over on bike packing trip. Comfy bed in a nice room, secure place to stow the bike and good breakfast (menu) to fuel up for the next day’s ride. Choose this over soul chain hotel room every time thanks Dave + Alison.
- Lovely place and people would recommend a+.
- Alison and David the owners made our stay very welcoming more than happy to help in any way possible help organise transport nothing was too much for them and our stay was so relaxing there gardens are beautiful. The views in the dining room are outstanding service top class food top class couldn't fault a thing they have thought of everything it's like home from home will definitely be back.
- The b&b rooms are excellent: very quiet, with outstanding views of both the garden and surrounding landscape (really spectacular). Very comfortable king-size bed and very hot water, when required. Breakfasts (menu) were excellent on each of the 4 days of our stay, and the warm welcome was particularly appreciated after a 6 hour car journey. Would be very happy to return here. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) is a friendly place and serves very good food.
- Very impressed as I come from a hotel background, every small detail is thought about. The experience is really like a home from home.... Highly recommended.
- I'm ashamed to say I am usually too busy to leave reviews, but Brambles Bed & Breakfast stood out as a remarkably lovely place to stay. The location is idyllic, with wonderful views of the rolling Devon hills, in an unspoilt hamlet. Breakfast (menu) was superb, and the nothing is too much trouble for the proprietors.
- I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Alison & David for the lovely welcome and making the stay so comfortable. Over the years, I have stayed in many hotels and b&b’s, and I would put this at one of the best! Very friendly, well organised, in a lovely location. Nothing was too much trouble and extremely great value. Well, done, this is how b&b's should be run! In a lovely location, with relatively easy access to the M5 motorway (Junction 27). Some local pubs within walking distance and a local Spar shop (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton).
- Very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much. Great value and a great breakfast (menu).
- Such a lovely friendly couple couldn’t ask for more, also they were so helpful with directions, recommend a lovely pub nearby. Fully recommend the Brambles, beautiful rooms, very clean.
- Very warm welcome. Comfortable bed, fluffy towels and good shower. Everything you need for a restful night with a hearty breakfast (menu) for a great start to the day.
- It was lovely to be welcomed with a warm room and the kettle on. Directions were easy to follow and good easy parking at the rear. Everything about the accommodation was pretty amazing. Hostess tray was exceptional. As was the breakfast (menu). Alison and Dave are warm and friendly hosts. Doubt you would find a better b&b anywhere especially at such a reasonable price. We only stayed for one night and saw little of the area. We walked to the local pub for an evening meal which is great because it meant no driving. We would like to come back and spend more time here.
- Of all the places I’ve stayed. This is my favourite. It's a gem, right in the centre of the beautiful Devon countryside and add to that two wonderful owners, you have for me a great place to stay. There so many things to do nearby, Devon has a bit to do for everyone.
- Lovely spot, gorgeous views from the back of the property. Hosts were truly welcoming, helpful and engaging without being intrusive. If you need somewhere to stay near here and they have a vacancy, make a bee-line for it!
- The booking process is easy and contact is great. As hosts Alison and David are very welcoming. The area is full of places of interest. There are plenty of eateries in Sampford Peverell, Halberton, Tiverton, Willand and Wellington. In season the horse drawn canal barge is a quiet activity which my family enjoy. In Bickleigh, the Mill and the Fisherman’s Cot (Bickleigh, Tiverton) are worth a visit for food and drink.
- Dave and Allison are a very nice couple, they are very professional, they take great pride in their b&b, and nothing is too much trouble. There is a lovely pub just down the road which serves good evening meals.
- The cottage is in a quiet location in the countryside, which was perfect, although I'm glad, we arrived in daylight or we might have struggled to find it, despite the excellent directions. The room was warm and very comfortable, if a little cramped (which didn't matter as we were really only sleeping there and were out all day), and the meet & greet by Alison was excellent. We'll definitely stay here again. Ignore your satnav and follow the directions provided for the last two miles of your journey. We took the owners' advice and approached from Uplowman, but there is still a stretch of narrow single-track road to negotiate. Going down into Tiverton, our satnav took us along a lot of single-track roads round some pretty hamlets via Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton), but the easy way is to drive straight on through Uplowman and come down past Tiverton Golf Club onto the Sampford Peverell road and go into town past Blundells Schooll. It's a very pleasant drive. If you have an electric car (electric vehicle charhing points), there are four free pod points in Tesco's car park and chargeable points in Lidl's car park next door.
- Absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean with lovely fluffy towels. Coffee and tea selection wonderful. Alison also very lovely. Great place to stay. Highly recommended.
- Thank you for an amazing experience. Everything was perfect. You took care about even smallest details: heating was on, hot water boiled just before we came, additional blanket, umbrella, tissues, cotton pads, directions how to get to you. I will definitely recommend you to my all friends. Wish you all the best and thank you once again.
- Alison and David were incredibly kind and helpful, and the accommodation was cosy, comfortable and well provisioned! Thank you for a great stay.
