Absolutely fabulous in every way. Alison & David are fantastic friendly hosts, the accommodation was spotless and an awesome breakfast (menu) to boot. Highly recommended. Rural roads are narrow on approach.
Very friendly welcome, and lots of useful information provided about local walks, eating options etc. Quiet location, the en-suite we stayed in in the family house was lovely, four poster bed, private toilet and bathroom facility and a fantastic view. There are some nice walks in the immediate vicinity. Limited local amenities but there are a couple of pubs within walking distance (one a bit further!) Which we called in at and were friendly with a good range of options to meet all dietary requirements (my partner is a veggie, and we had no issues getting something for her in either). Tavistock is nearby and worth a visit further afield is Barnstaple which is also nice and worth a trip out.
First class b & b. The hosts Alison & David are so professional and so helpful and make you very welcome. Excellent breakfast (menu). The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) is very close by and a great menu.
Terrific views from location, excellent rooms, friendly hosts, a great breakfast (menu) as well. Only the one night this time for a wedding at nearby Middle Coombe Farm (Uplowman, Tiverton), for which this is well positioned. Will definitely visit again and plan a longer stay. Ideally placed to access the M5 motorway (Junction 27), A361 Barnstaple and North Devon link road and the A38 for Wellington. So, you can get to many of the beauty spots and historic sites around Devon & West Somerset.
This was our first visit to Brambles but recommended by friends and the location was rural Devon with all the charm one would expect. The accommodation was very comfortable and as it was a hot day Alison had kept the curtains closed to help keep the rooms cool. Very thoughtful, and there was also a fan in the bedroom. Alison settled us in and everything we needed was there in the room and more, and it all worked. Breakfast (menu) in the morning was just perfect. Lots to do and see so a good base for exploring. We picked up some salad and wine at a local supermarket before arriving, and after a long journey we enjoyed our evening meal just staying put in the garden overlooking a beautiful patchwork of farmland. Alison very kindly lent us plates and cutlery. Wine glasses were already provided in the rooms.
Amazing b & b - immaculately clean. Alison & Dave made us very welcome, and our breakfast (menu) was superb - the choice of fruits, yoghurts and cereal was second to none and our cooked breakfast was absolutely lovely. Our drinks choices in our room were also excellent. The location is very quiet and peaceful, and we were able to walk to the local friendly pub for our evening meal. And only a few minutes from the M5 motorway (Junction 27)! Thanks Alison & Dave, we’ll be back for a longer stay next time. Not far from. the M5, Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington, but far enough so you couldn’t hear the traffic. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) was about a half mile walk, very friendly there and the food was good too, lots of choices. Large portions - sadly we couldn’t manage a dessert! In easy driving distance of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Barnstaple, Exeter, Honiton, Taunton and Wellington.
Most welcoming hosts, very helpful and friendly. Not too far from most shops and restaurants and a local pub less than a mile away, easy to get straight on to M5 motorway (Junction 27), A38 and A361.
Friendly hosts. Comfy bed. Good shower. Breakfast (menu) that saw us through the day. Peaceful scenic location. Ticked all the boxes. Thank you for a lovely stay, Alison and David.

Wonderful relaxing stay, ideal place to wind down prior to our holiday in Cornwall. David and Alison were great hosts! Close to the M5 (Junction 27) but no noise from the motorway. Be aware that access is via single track roads which are relatively quiet. There is a fantastic rural pub, the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) about 10-15 minutes away by foot serving great quality, traditional home produced food which was very welcoming with fantastic attentive staff.
What a super little b&b, the accommodation was very cosy and comfortable. Very high standard of cleanliness. David is an excellent host, we had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The extra little touches in the room were lovely. Snacks and sweets. The gardens are beautifully kept. And an amazing view from the garden. We would definitely recommend and would happily stay again. Great local pubs just a few minutes away.

Stayed for one Saturday night at the Brambles. We were met in the car park by Alison, who was so friendly and welcoming. We had a king – en-suite, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, with lots of nice treats. The view from our room was amazing. Alison and Dave have a beautiful garden. Wished we had had the time to sit in it. The breakfast (menu) was delicious and plentiful, sets you up for a busy day visiting Exmouth (so impressed with this town)! And Lyme Regis (parking facilities poor, ticket machines not that good). The Brambles is a little awkward to get to, but Alison sent us directions to use alongside the sat nav. We hope to visit Alison again, She is an excellent host. Devon and West Somerset are beautiful. Thank you, Alison and Dave. Took an evening walk down to the local pub about a 3/4 of a mile from the Brambles. It was a lovely night. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) was not too busy, but the atmosphere was friendly and warm. The Landlady was very helpful. Our food was enjoyable and plenty of it. Lovely area.
Loved the views and you were very welcoming. The accommodation and facilities were lovely and cosy. Best pillows ever.
What lovely hosts David and Alison were. The annexe room was so homely with everything you could need in abundance, they cater for everyone's needs! Again, the breakfast (menu) was outstanding, catering again to everyone's taste. Beautiful gardens, beautiful views across the country too. Excellent value for money compared to some places we have stayed. Would 100% recommend it. They very kindly sent detailed maps and directions which were extremely helpful, as it is in the countryside, but the local pub and post office were only a 3 minute drive (or 15 minute walk) away where we had a fabulous roast on Friday. Spent a lovely day in Tiverton along the Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal) towpath where you can get refreshments and a horse drawn boat trip too.
What a find! Beautiful location with superb views and super friendly owners who can't do enough for you. Our rooms were perfectly clean and equipped with all you need and more. Breakfast (menu) was excellent too. Rural situation with no footpaths so care is needed when walking to the local pub for meals, about 15 mins walk.
We had a very enjoyable one night stay to break a much longer journey. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast (menu) was outstanding. We are hoping to return another time to explore the locality much more. Lovely rural views from the bedroom and gardens. Our hosts were able to make recommendations for local restaurants nearby for our evening meal.
