Hotel | Bed and Breakfast | Accommodation | Tiverton | Devon
- Fabulous one night stay, very quiet, comfortable and everything you need with great attention to detail. Ultra friendly owners and superb full English breakfast (menu). Very pretty gardens and beautiful views of rural Devon. Will definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.
- Had a lovely stay at Brambles, felt well looked after from the moment we got there. Would recommend.
- Lovely friendly hosts David & Alison they are in an idyllic location, great views to the Blackdown Hills and South Devon form the garden. The accommodation was practical and a very comfortable bed. Plenty of hot drink choices and the fresh milk was great. Beautiful gardens and the breakfast (menu) was most enjoyable too. WIFI is good and easy to connect too, overall, an enjoyable stay, we would visit again! Great location for travelling to Bampton, Crediton, Cullompton, Exeter, Honiton, South Molton, Tiverton, Taunton, Wellington, and surrounding areas, the local pub is than a 3 minute drive or walking in around 15 minutes.
- Helpful directions, quiet surroundings, recommended a short walk for an excellent pub meal, comfortable bed and enjoyable breakfast (menu).
- We enjoyed our stay at Brambles very much. Nothing was too much trouble.
- The location was beautiful. It’s a little difficult to navigate the short narrow country lane to get there. I would take the better longer route next time. Otherwise, there is nothing to dislike about the accommodation or food. Local pub food was good and easy to walk to.
- Top class b&b with more than you would expect, nice touches in room like wine glasses, snacks, immaculate decor, very nice host, made our holiday that much more special. Superb breakfast (menu), very quiet area and the cat amused us greatly climbing the tree! Come in from Uplowman, other direction very narrow road, website explains this. Plenty of gardens, National Trust etc and in middle of local area dead easy trip to north or south Devon, Cornwall, and West Somerset. Good food at the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) pub.
- Brambles is a traditional b&b - with proper solid furniture, a lovely four poster bed and very comfortable mattress. The space is very homely, and the owners friendly but also very careful of your space and privacy. The garden is also beautiful with a hill view and full of flowers. It felt like every detail had been thought of, from a hair-dryer and spare blanket, cookies, peanuts, drinks, kettle and glasses in the room. Toiletries also. Then at breakfast (menu) a huge assortment of choice, from a quickly cooked hot breakfast with multiple items, to cereal, tinned fruit, yoghurt, pastries, jams and other condiments. Added bonus: Alison lent me a tape measure that I needed for work with no fuss, despite an unusual request. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) had traditional tasty food, I really enjoyed the Redwood's Chicken, chicken with cream cheese inside, wrapped in bacon, with lemon pepper sauce. A great end to a day on my bike!. The Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal) and Old Lime Kilns are a beautiful walk or bike ride. The horse drawn canal boat trip in Tiverton and Canal Tea Rooms and Garden is also worth a visit - the best ice cream I’ve had for ages.
- Just stayed the one night, a very friendly welcome when I arrived. Delightful couple, just what a British b&b should be. Good choices for breakfast (menu).
- Friendly and informative host.
- Very welcoming hosts. Met on driveway approach. Spectacular views on a sunny day and very peaceful location.
- Very comfortable, perfect hosts, excellent breakfast (menu) and some lovely extras like the biscuits and sweets in the room. We loved the river cruise from Exmouth after taking the train there. We'd recommend the Grove on the seafront. The South Devon Steam Railway from Buckfastleigh to Totnes is lovely, as is Ashburton's Old Exeter Inn.
- Very helpful and friendly, excellent breakfast (menu) and service. Beautiful garden views and location, especially as the weather was so hot. Ideal stopover before continuing onward journey to Cornwall. Pleasant afternoon / evening stroll down to the local pub (10-15mins) as it was good weather. Pub very welcoming and very nice evening meal served. Sat outside on the green area as well watching local life pass by, relaxing.
- On our stay we was greeted by a friendly welcome staff our accommodation was lovely clean and comfortable. The views were amazing.
- Very enjoyable night’s stay, Alison was friendly, helpful, nothing too much trouble. Great views, & quiet! Horse drawn barge & Tiverton town centre 15mins away! Pub down the road.
- We simply had a first-class stay. Thank you.
- The thought that you have put into guests comfort far exceeds most expensive hotels that we have stayed in. Thank you for that and your willingness to recommend facilities close by. We hope that they reward you. Breakfast (menu) gets top marks. Your garden is amazing. Talk to Dave and Alison for recommendations.
- An absolutely superb wee spot - beautiful views and garden to sit in a relax, rooms with all the luxuries plus fantastic breakfasts (menu). Can thoroughly recommend Brambles as a great place to refresh (and so close to the M5 motorway!). Loved the local pub and a walk down to main village. Village shop has most things!
- Welcoming hosts, warm and friendly family home. Breakfast (menu) is astounding, good food, professionally executed, huge variety, spotlessly clean accommodation. Appreciated view from bedroom window.
- Lovely location, friendly hosts, comfortable accommodation. Perfect for a longer stay which we wish had been possible - sadly we were only there for one night but will certainly use 'Brambles' when in the area again (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington). The pub down the road (15 minute walk) provides a typical pub meal and is friendly and comfortable and obviously well used by locals. More interesting food may be possible farther away.
- It's the second time we've stayed at Brambles in a month as we cycled around Somerset and if we come by, we will stay again. Lovely place hosts make you feel at home.
- We love the location. If you like to be in rural Devon or West Somerset, away from traffic and 'the madding crowd', you will love Brambles and a gentle drive along the country lanes. David and Alison are perfect hosts, and their b&b offers spotless and comfortable accommodation, and a generous breakfast (menu) at a very reasonable price. Thank you - we'll be back :). If you like canal walks, the Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal) can be explored from nearby Halberton, Sampford Peverell or Tiverton. Easy walking and a great haven for wildlife.
- Great people / staff and beautiful natural scenery. Very friendly staff and clean b&b. Rooms are not so big and not all of them have wardrobes. Cottage style but still quite functional. All in all, nice place with nice people.
- Located in beautiful countryside Alison and David were very welcoming. There is a local pub, the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton), where you can get an evening meal. During our weeks stay we visited some National Trust properties and also coastal locations Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Beer etc.
- Friendly, flexible and accommodating. Excellent vegetarian options at the Olive Well restaurant in Cullompton. Closed on Tuesdays though - Porters Bar and Grill have a smaller vegetarian selection but do a lovely Macaroni Cheese.
