Alison and David are amazing hosts. We found the Brambles very inviting, homely, clean, most definitely a home from home. Our needs were met in full, and we would highly recommend a stay at Brambles.
I had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay at Brambles for four nights over the Christmas holidays. The accommodation was very clean, warm and cosy and I appreciated the attention to detail with little things like an umbrella - plus a wonderful tray of what seemed like endless choices of beverage. I'll definitely be going again! Slept better than I have for ages! It was wonderful to start the day with an hour's walk through the local countryside, spotting cows, deer, crows and rabbits. All in all, a very pleasant and rejuvenating break from the norm. Thank you, Alison and David.

Hosts were lovely. Communication beforehand was great. Lovely accommodation with lots of thoughtful extras. Breakfast (menu) was lovely. Lovely view across the countryside albeit a short drive from the M5 motorway (Junction 27). Had evening meal at the Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton). Good food.
Alison’s very clear directions led us to this jewel of a bed and breakfast in the quiet Devon countryside. We arrived after dark on a cold winter’s afternoon. Our softly lit room was welcomingly warm; the tea things ready; the shower simple to operate and roomy; the Arts and Crafts bed large and comfortable. I could easily read my book thanks to the bedside lights. The tv was not too obtrusive and we watched a Netflix movie. The view over the fields which we saw for the first time in the morning was lovely - and don’t forget to choose to have the generous breakfast (menu) Alison makes. Remarkably good value all round! Thank you.
Very friendly and hospitable hosts. Accommodation was well furnished and very comfortable. Local pub just down the road serves decent enough food and drinks.
Fantastic communication before and during the stay. Possibility of breakfast (menu), warm and clean place. Nearby there is an inn open in the evening where you can eat delicious dinners in a nice atmosphere

We chose Brambles because of online comments made by other guests when we were looking for a base for a short stay near Tiverton. We were not disappointed. Our accommodation was warm and ideal for a short stay. There was plenty of choice of hot drinks and biscuits for us to help ourselves to. The breakfast (menu) choice was excellent and plentiful. Alison and David were very friendly hosts, interacting well with their guests. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton), a traditional country inn, served excellent pub food. We can particularly recommend the prawn cocktail (one helping was enough for 2 of us to share!). The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We visited Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton) house and gardens - the latter were beautiful in their Autumnal colours....and then, of course, there are the joys of wandering across Exmoor and finding the White Horse Inn (Exford). Dunster is well worth a visit.
Could not fault it as a B and B. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) 1 km away is excellent
Met by host upon arrival, warm welcome. Fresh milk provided and extensive snacks, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc in room. Follow directions provided by hosts alonside Satnav, use business name (do not rely solely on the post code)..

Comfortable, clean accommodation with lovely beds, pillows and towels. Coffee and tea selection is amazing to. I stay here often and highly recommend it. My “go to” home away from home near Tiverton.

Very friendly and down to earth. Nothing was too much trouble. A really lovely couples and just what you want from b and b owners. The rooms had every single thing you might need on a stay away. Just perfect.
Hosts were amazing and friendly. Felt welcome and very much at home the instant we arrived. They went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Even so far as to offer us a ride to the pub and made sure we didn’t leave without a umbrella. Even in late fall the garden was pretty and the view…breath taking. I imagine Brambles is fairytale perfect in the summer. Definitely visit. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) for dinner. However, don’t forget to bring a flashlight for the walk back. Take some time to star gaze. It is so dark and void of light pollution that the stars are brilliant to look at. This is definitely a place to shut down and completely relax.
Warm, very comfortable and clean bedrooms and bathrooms, set in a beautiful garden with glorious views. The breakfast (menu) was delicious, and Alison was thoughtful and keen to ensure that her visitors had everything that they needed in their rooms along with very generous supplies in the bathroom and by the kettle. A very well run b&b that we would certainly recommend. The nearby National Trust property of Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton) was glorious with autumn colour glowing in the sunshine and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
Comfy rooms… friendly staff and great breakfast…. Follow directions given by the hotel not the sat nav…

Only spent one night but would love to have stayed longer, will certainly use again. Best local restaurants are in Tiverton, three pubs nearby and there are many places to visit and things to do. There is a Spar shop in the village of Sampford Peverell (less than 5 minutes away).
Very comfortable accommodation, rooms spotlessly clean and breakfast (menu) was delicious with plenty of choice. Alison was very helpful and friendly and very pleasant stay, thank you.
Lovely hosts, very clear communication and very attentive to dietary needs. Excellent breakfast (menu) and a really great accommodation to stay in. Very good value all round.
We had a really good stay at Brambles, everything was in the room we needed, plus some little thoughtful extras. We will certainly stay there again. We found the area as we planned. We went to Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton), the Tiverton Museum, and the Tiverton Canal Companies horse drawn barge trips on the Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal)l. Also visited Lynmouth on the way home, a lovely three days away. We found the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) pub to be handy too! Close by and reasonable food.
An exceptional place to stay with exceptional facilities and service. Follow Alison’s route directions to avoid getting lost.
The owners of Brambles (unfortunately I can't remember their names as well as they did mine!) Made us feel really welcome. They were extremely accommodating and I would definitely visit again. We only spent one night there on our way to an event so didn't get much chance to explore the beautiful surroundings.
