We were very impressed with our accommodation and all the extras you provided the fresh milk the biscuits and sweets peanuts and cheese snacks they all went down a treat with a glass of wine after a long and wet journey!. The breakfast (menu) was of an excellent standard served by a most pleasant host. Thank you very much for everything! The host gave excellent advice about local restaurants, places to visit and also about things to do in the Devon and West Somerset, and locally in the Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington area.
Lovely b & b with generous breakfasts (menu) and courtesy tray in room. I was in the Garden Room with fabulous views.
Alison & Dave were great hosts & we would not hesitate to stay with them again.
David & Alison are excellent hosts and make you feel very welcome. From Brambles you can have a stroll down the lane to a lovely country pub where they do excellent meals.
What a lovely find. Perfect in every way, from the warm welcome to the cooked breakfast (menu). Great hosts, thanks for your hospitality. The local pub doesn't look that enticing from the outside, but the staff were very welcoming and the food was great.
Excellent welcome from Alison and David they were very friendly hosts nothing was too much trouble. The choice of breakfast (menu) was outstanding. The accommodation was lovely really comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. We highly recommend Brambles. The Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton) pub / restaurant food was good nice atmosphere and reasonable.
Great location, great welcome. Lovely views and would return if in the area (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington). Walked down to the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton). Friendly pub. Had a roast which I’ll give a 3. Would return.

I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have found such a super place. My room was warm and comfortable, and the breakfast (menu) was brilliant especially as I am gluten free. Tiverton Museum.
Great peaceful location, close to the M5 motorway (Junction 27). Ideal spot for breaking up a long journey. Alison and Dave are the ideal hosts, very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation was perfect, cosy, with everything you need. The breakfast was superb, with lots of choice. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) is a short walk down the lane, with lots of nearby footpaths.
Lovely rural location, excellent facilities, warm cosy and very well appointed. Excellent tea / coffee tray with lots of goodies. Instant fast flowing hot water in bathroom. Lovely hosts, very attentive and welcoming. The cooked breakfast (menu) was superb, highly recommend., but also a generous choice of fruit / cereal / pastries / toast etc. Couple of local pubs, one within 15 mins walk., ‘old school’ pub, food was excellent, super quick service and delicious. My visit was just for a night but my guess it’s great walking territory and a good base for wider journeys further into Devon and West Somerset, and exploring the local towns Cullompton / Exeter / Honiton / Tiverton / Wellington / Taunton etc. Overall, a lovely place to stay and something much more individual and personal than hotel chain accommodation.
We could not find any fault. Owners are very friendly, meeting us as we arrived. The garden views are exceptional. The breakfasts (menu) had everything you could wish for. The best cooked breakfast we have ever had. This was our fourth visit. Car parking off road beside the garden rooms were very handy. We have always eaten in the local pub, the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton), a real local pub with very good food. (and beer of course)

Alison & David are the perfect hosts, their attention to detail cannot be faulted. From the moment we booked, to the time we left nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spotless and the breakfasts (menu) were fantastic. We would recommend, ‘Brambles Bed and Breakfast’ as the best b&b to enjoy whilst exploring the wonderful sites of Devon and West Somerset.
We would highly recommend staying at the Brambles if you’re visiting Devon and West Somerset, or exploring the area and nearby towns (Bampton, Credition, Cullompton, Honiton, Tiverton and Wellington). Alison is fabulous and nothing is too much trouble.
Very friendly welcome! Nice cottage in the beautiful and neat garden. Great bed and shower. Every morning a delicious breakfast (menu) was prepared for us; everything you could wish for was there. Moreover, for Dutch people a beautiful area towards Exmoor! Highly recommended! Our goal was to visit our daughter and her family. So, we spent a lot of time in Tiverton. We visited a beautiful park and the beautiful town of Dunster!
Alison's attention to detail is impeccable. Breakfast (menu) was perfectly cooked and presented. Our accommodation had every comfort.
An excellent b & b in a rural location in a small hamlet. We were looked after very well indeed. A superb breakfast (menu) was supplied. We only stayed the one night as we were en-route for the coast. Staying at the Brambles broke a long journey via M6 / M5 from the West Midlands. On booking- you will be provided wth detailed directions as to the best route to Brambles. Follow this and you will find this b & b easily. Input Brambles Bed and Breakfast (Whitnage Cottage) into your satvav (do not rely solely on the post code), and follow the recommended route provided for the last mile or so.
Alison was really welcoming and friendly, provided useful information about local pubs, walks etc. Accommodation was delightful, everything was clean, in excellent condition and I had everything that I needed for my stay. Cooked breakfast (menu) was delicious! Read the directions which were kindly provided, I missed the turning but still found the accommodation with little trouble. It's ideally located for visits to two National Trust properties, Knightshayes Court (Bolham, Tiverton) and Killerton (Broadclyst, Exeter), very different historically and in styles, but both well worth a visit. Tiverton has several supermarkets if you have forgotten to pack something!
Excellent accommodation with everything we needed for an overnight stay.
Our hosts were very welcoming and responsive to requests. The room was well equipped and attractive, bed very comfortable, bathroom spotlessly clean. Breakfast (menu) delicious and varied and served in lovely dining room, easy parking, beautiful garden and view. Pretty location down a narrow lane but worth the drive. Visit St. Peter’s Church (Tiverton). Check Tiverton Castle opening days. Nearby Bickleigh is pretty. Have cider at the Fisherman’s Cot (Bickleigh, Tiverton) by the river. Eat at wonderful Italian restaurant Ponte Vecchio (Tiverton).
Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Alison was the perfect host. She was spot on with the area and where to go. We would recommend to anyone.
Alison and Dave are lovely hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are great, with every extra we could think of. The beds are really comfortable. Breakfast (menu) was a treat every morning. Lovely quiet location with a wonderful garden and a great view. Ideally located just 5 minutes from the M5 motorway (Junction 27) with plenty to see and do only a short distance away. Looking forward to coming back one day.
Very enjoyable stay in a lovely setting with beautiful views. Great breakfast (menu). Would definitely return in the future! 10/15 mins from Tiverton town centre. Only stayed one night so didn’t visit anywhere locally.
The Brambles is one of the very best places we have stayed in, we were made welcome and the services provided were well above expectation, a wonderful clean and quiet establishment. I would recommend the Brambles to anyone, Your hosts will direct you to all the local areas and events.
