Definitely worth paying the extra for breakfast (menu). Would have preferred more space in the room but more than compensated by attention to detail and an extremely hospitable hostess.
Alison and Dave are smashing hosts, we are always made to feel welcome and look forward to returning on our next trip to the Southwest. Plenty of activity on the bird feeders at breakfast (menu), with a large variety of finches and an occasional woodpecker. The location is perfect and helps us to relax before starting our holiday in Cornwall, highly recommended. The Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) is a charming traditional country pub serving classic home cooked food with a good selection of beers and cider, just a short walk along a single track road
Great rooms, well set up accommodation, I have stayed in all rooms at the Brambles, and each is very comfortable and clean, this is my preferred option when working on business and the hosts are loverly people and the gardens are beautiful and relaxing. Down the lane is the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) offering good food and traditional pub.
Lovely little b&b run by the friendliest people. The hosts were attentive and chatty, and nothing was too much effort. . The location is beautiful and rooms were a good size and nice and clean. Would 100% visit again. Would recommend staying for a peaceful and relaxing trip away. Lots of nice local walks and pubs not too far away. Very reasonably priced and breakfast (menu) is great!
Alison and David are the perfect hosts. Every detail of the rooms have been carefully thought through and they (and their garden!) are beautifully done. We couldn't ask for better hosts.
If we could give six stars, we would. Alison and Dave are fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Recommend the Ponte Vecchio (Tiverton) Italian restaurant, and Frou Frou (Tiverton) French inspired bistro in Tiverton town centre.
Great Hosts, very friendly and efficient. Beautiful setting and grounds. Lovely comfortable rooms that are immaculately clean, providing all you need and more. Best stocked hospitality tray I’ve ever seen!. Then there’s the breakfast (menu) …. huge selection, quality products, all cooked and presented beautifully. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a peaceful setting. I went to the Italian restaurant in Tiverton which was fantastic. Great food and lovely choice of drinks too. Visiting family so used as a base. Went to Lyme Regis beach for a day. Great place for families. Had lovely lunch in one of the restaurants. Pebble beach. Great facilities and plenty of choice for eateries
I could not have found a more beautiful spot for the few days I was visiting. Tucked away at the top of a hill overlooking the Blackdown Hills and East Devon on the other side of the valley, Brambles was a haven of tranquillity with amazing views. David and Alison maintain it to a very high standard, and their garden is beautifully stocked with flowering borders. Everything I needed was in the small double bed annexe, a high quality shower over bath, and well topped up drinks and snacks provided. This is a little gem. Book it, you won’t be disappointed. Bike hire from. the Globe Inn (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton). Beautiful cycle ride along the local canal. The pub there is very friendly. A tasty meal at the nearby Hickory Inn (Halberton, Tiverton) is something to consider. A trip up to the Wellington Monument with lovely wooded walks and views is recommended. And there is easy train access from Tiverton Parkway railway station to Exeter and the river Exe coastal towns.
My wife and I work at 3 events through the year in the Tiverton area. My first call when planning our visit, is to Brambles, to make sure they have space for us. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!. The breakfast (menu) is always first class, and the beds are firm and comfortable. What more can you ask for?! Tiverton is just 10 - 15 minutes away, so finding places to eat, whatever your taste, is so easy.
Very comfortable bed wonderful outlook hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The Grand Western Canal Country Park (aka the Tiverton Canal) is a joy for spotting wildlife, cycling and walking, and the Canal Tearoom and Garden at Tiverton is well worth a visit.
We were made to feel very welcome. Lovely place to stay with a beautiful garden. Fantastic breakfast (menu). Great pub with good food within walking distance.
Great communication. Perfect directions. Met on arrival and shown to our room with many extra, well appreciated extras. Nice and warm and cosy and spotlessly clean. Bonus was a bath plus shower. Very friendly hosts and very full great breakfast (menu) Could not fault this b and b and would thoroughly recommend. Beautiful countryside and quaint villages. Local pub about 3/4 of a mile away - friendly hosts and tasty supper with a very full menu. Good walking area and within easy reach of Cullompton, Tiverton, Wellington and the M5 motorway.

Superb little bed and breakfast, hosts really welcoming. Excellent selection of coffee, teas, hot drinks and snacks in the room. Selection at breakfast (menu) excellent too. Everything you need. Local pub the Redwoods Inn (Uplowman, Tiverton) does really nice food too.
Super clean room with everything we needed and more. Friendly welcome, and to be able to just have a cup of tea and a bowl of cereal whilst my husband tucked into a full English cooked breakfast (menu), was ideal for me. The breakfast (menu) apparently was delicious. We would definitely recommend if attending a wedding in the area.
Gorgeous b & b. The accommodation was lovely & comfortable. Fabulous views as well. Alison is an absolute diamond! So friendly & helpful. Perfectly situated for the wedding at Huntsham Court (Huntsham, Tiverton) we were attending in the Saturday. First class farmhouse breakfast (menu) too!. The Lost Kitchen (Chettiscombe, Tiverton) restaurant for evening or lunch. Gorgeous food & atmosphere.
Ideal base for us to explore Devon and West Somerset and the towns in the area (Cullompton, Tiverton and Wellington). Fantastic variety of options for breakfast (menu) to set you up for the day. Cosy clean accommodation with everything we needed. Friendly and accommodating hosts / owners also provided arrival directions and follow up message few days before our arrival. Nice touch, thanks. The b&b website is very comprehensive regarding directions, eating out, places to visit and things to do. Also, Alison & David were a font of useful information and knowledge about Devon and West Somerset (Tiverton, Cullompton and Wellington) during our stay.
Brilliant, lovely hosts, fabulous location with amazing views of the Devon countryside. Great area for cylcling, fishing and walking. Tiverton town centre fairly close. Good rail links via Tiverton Parkway railway station (Sampford Peverell, Tiverton).
Brambles is a stunning place to stay! My room was perfect, everything I needed was provided, plus much more. The bed was so comfortable and the view was exceptional. Alison cooked a fabulous breakfast (menu), and she and David were the most delightful hosts. Such a warm friendly atmosphere. I absolutely loved my time there and would recommend it highly. The local pub is a short walk away and serves very nice homely food.
