Brambles Bed and Breakfast - Tiverton - Reviews - Page 6.

Lovely location with great views. We stayed at Brambles for just one night as we were going to a 30th wedding anniversary bash in Tiverton. Luckily we were in the main house rather than the 'annex' where three more rooms were located (they didn't look so nice). The room was charming with a four poster bed and tastefully decorated. The view from the room was lovely and the wonderful weather helped. Breakfast was good and the owner, who appeared to be on his owner seemed to be doing everything - good bit of multitasking! Accommodation self-contained, warm and clean. Very comfortable bed. Car park adjacent to accommodation. Very adequate tea-making facilities. Complete control of central heating. Lamps turned on automatically in our room in the evening - very welcoming when returning in the dark. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, great value for money. Host very helpful guiding us in when Satnav did not work. Very comfortable, clean and well appointed accommodation. Friendly welcome on arrival and a delicious breakfast. I would recommend this B&B. Ideal for a get away from it all break. Set in beautiful countryside in the sticks. No street lights so bring a torch, the pub is a 15 minute walk along a narrow lane.

The accommodation was charming, clean and comfortable with nearly every convenience thought of. There is little to say against it. Highly recommended. It’s important you study the directions and have them to hand while on route. I found it first time, but some of the comments mentioned the difficulty. This is probably due to thinking that getting away with reading them once is ok. Keep them to hand. Bring a torch. Although we were allowed to check in early the check in times could be relaxed so check in from 2pm and check out at 11am is observed like the hotel norm. But they seemed fairly relaxed about it. Apart from that perfect. Fantastic host, delicious breakfast, quaint location and rooms with picturesque views! Highly recommend. My partner and I made a last minute booking and couldn't have been more happy with our choice. When we arrived the host waited for us and greeted us on arrival, he was a pleasure to meet and gave us some great travelling tips. He even asked us what time we'd like our breakfast cooked, which was a nice personal touch. Our room was the Garden Room and it was perfect. Excellent all round B and B.

Very clean, comfortable bed, LCD tv, bottled water and a tray with tea and coffee making facilities which came to good use after travelling for nearly 10 hrs. The location was very quiet and picturesque, everything you'd imagine staying in the country. Very cosy. Slept very easily. Would love to stay again and will highly recommend to friends. Thanks again! Good 1 night stay. B&B was in quiet hamlet down narrow country lane. Very peaceful. Pub was less than a mile away for evening meal. Accommodation was clean, good value for money and the owners were very helpful with any queries I had. Really nice place to stay. Quiet and comfortable B&B, excellent breakfast and cheery landlord. Good, clean, well priced and convenient. Pleasant and welcoming. If I am in the Tiverton area again I will book there again. I really enjoyed my stay and it was faultless. The room was very comfortable indeed and had everything that was required. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. If I'm in the Tiverton area I'll be back. Cosy, quiet with on-site parking. Very friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely and warm, bed soft, had a lovely sleep. Great selection of teas, coffee and some bottled water. Great value for money. Thank you. Warm friendly welcome. Everything about the room was excellent. Just what we needed. The recommendation of the local pub for dinner was perfect. One day we will return. Bedroom was great, nice and warm. TV was put on for us and the kettle had been boiled for us. Plenty of tea coffee and biscuits for us. Breakfast was very nice, there also was fruit to go with cereals.

We had only one chair between us, but now know that a second chair would have been available had we asked for it, and we didn't. It makes sense to make its provision an option, given that many folk enjoy sitting on a bed, and having only one chair in the rooms allows for extra circulation space. 3 In the light of a new morning, the view from the garden area outside our room was splendid. We made a point of finding time to admire it. 4 Having met the owners early on, and having sensed the warmth of the welcome and their eagerness to please, we knew we could turn to them with confidence for any reason had we needed to. We did not need to. We felt we received very good value for money, and would happily return. A wonderful night's stay in cosy surroundings. We were so pleased to have discovered Brambles during a visit to the Exeter area. We had 2 rooms booked and I knew we were in good hands when Alison and David, the owners, emailed us with detailed directions and some information ahead of our arrival. The rooms are in the annexe to their home, down a country lane. The rooms were comfortable and every comfort was available: hair dryer, extra blanket, kettle with basket full of teas, coffees, etc, large TV, torch even!

Everything was spotless. The rooms face a garden and so are very quiet. The lane seems to have very little traffic. Breakfast consisted of juice, tea and coffee, then a choice of yoghurts and cereals, plus a cooked breakfast to order. It kept us going through the day! David and Alison clearly take pride in their B&B and were friendly, welcoming hosts. We would highly recommend Brambles. Out of the way, good food, friendly family. This is now the third time we've stayed with David and Alison and have been impressed consistently with their attitude of being close at hand to help when needed but also not interfering. Their breakfasts are sufficient to last all day without the need for food until the evening - and there's a decent enough restaurant just the other side of the motorway that was never fully booked. It's the perfect location from which to plan a 'three racecourse' strategy to cover Taunton, Exeter and Newton Abbot - and Wincanton is within reach, too. We discovered that accommodation nearer to Newton Abbot and Torquay was £20 per night more expensive and availability wasn't always possible - the route down to that area is an easy drive down the M5 and A-roads after Exeter and the petrol is less than the amount you save.
